The Goodflyers is a psychological aviation thriller set in and around the Navy’s elite flight school in Pensacola, Florida, 1987. It follows a group of top-notch flight instructors, led by Lieutenants Frank Nicolosi and Joe Christmas, and their students who are confined in a system that demands perfection. Where failure is unforgiven. Competition between two squadrons turns ugly, and the quest to be the best becomes toxic and leads to moral decay. Beneath the surface, cracks begin to show. A colossal failure at the command level rocks the squadron and rips a family apart. A pilot disappears and a student crosses a line he can never walk back.
